About Maskal E-mail

Maskal was founded in June 2004 with only 6 students but has grown to be a school with over 200 active students taking 1 or more lessons weekly. Below you can see the progression since 2004 to get a clearer idea of our history. It should be noted that originally, Maskal started out as an English Language School and that the Japanese Courses are a later addition to build on the success we have had in the educational field.

  • June 2004

Maskal English Language School opened with 6 students in Aobadai about 7 minutes from Aobadai station which is on the Tokyu Den-en-Toshi line.

  • March 2006

Maskal added its Nagatsuta classroom which is also on the Den-en-Toshi line and started English Conversation lessons taught by a native English speaker. The number of students had increased to 40 at this stage.

  • July 2006

Maskal moved to Tama-Plaza about 4 minutes from Tama-Plaza station and had grown to 50 students.

  • November 2006

Maskal opened up its Fujigaoka classroom at the same time as closing down its Nagatsuta classroom to accommodate the 70 students which were now taking regular weekly classes.

  • June 2007

Maskal added its first classroom in Tokyo by using rental space in Minami Aoyama and had at this stage, 140 students.

  • August 2007

Maskal opened up its second classroom in Tokyo, this time also using rental space but in the prime location of Ginza. Student numbers had shot up again to 170 students.

  • October 2007

Maskal opened up its Takanawa school close to Shinagawa station and ceased the use of rental space in Minami Aoyama and Ginza. Student numbers had risen again to more than 200 students.

  • October 2008

The decision to launch Japanese Courses was implemented to build on our educational success. We also merged Tama Plaza and Fujigaoka into one large school in Eda which is also along the Den-en-Toshi line.
