| Regular Japanese Course |
|
The regular Japanese language classes are much more flexible than the intensive Japanese course - available to any level and with smaller class sizes of a maximum of 6 students in one class. Students of the same Japanese level are in the same class and the lessons taught are designed specifically for that particular level. The focus is on conversation although there are elements of grammar as well as giving you a grounding in hiragana and katakana, two of the 3 writing systems in Japanese.

The Teaching Materials:
There are many Japanese language books and materials available that can teach you a lot about how to converse in Japanese but we did not feel the need to commit to one particular textbook. Different teachers may use a different textbook or their own material in the class. This will be explained at your trial lesson. We also develop our own Japanese teaching materials inspired by the Oxford University Press materials available for English learners. If you are a beginner, you will be speaking Japanese from the first lesson and for the advanced learner there are lessons to challenge and push you into an even higher mastery of Japanese.
For a short sample lesson to give you an idea of the materials, click here . It should be noted that all lessons are in hiragana or katakana. For students with little of no hiragana/katakana, we will help you with this too. It is very simple to learn within days and we truly feel that since Japanese people write Japanese with their own characters, it makes little sense to teach using the roman alphabet for Japanese.
