It starts with　ごい which is your new Japanese vocabulary input. Everything is explained as you go along so that you can be sure you will understand the language. Next is the　かいわ or conversation. Here you will practice through repetition and substitution to get used to using the different language you learn in the vocabulary input and to try to make your own sentences if you wish. Your native Japanese teacher will also have role play situations that you will then use to put this language into a more realistic context for you to practice. This is where you will be able to become comfortable with the language you have learnt in the lesson but also a chance for you to experiment by adapting the language to situations that you can think of yourself.

At every step, there will be feedback to help correct your mistakes and bulid on your knowledge. Finally, there are also some kanji that come up in the conversation or vocabulary sections. Depending on your knowledge, your Japanese teacher may ask you to try and recognise them, teach you how to write them or for more avanced students, to even come up with composite kanji using these kanji.
